Preface

―  Theme : "The 11th JSME-KSME Thermal and Fluid Engineering Conference (TFEC11)"  ―

The 11th TFEC was held on the Okinawa Convention Center over four days from 22th to 25th October 2025. Special lectures were given by Prof. Maruta of Tohoku University and Prof. Takei of Chiba University, and 24 sessions (12 on thermal engineering, 10 on fluid engineering, and 2 joint sessions) were held. Active discussions were performed in all sessions.

This issue of the newsletter is “TFEC11”. Topics were provided by the special lecture speakers, as well as recipients of the JSME Young Outstanding Lecture Fellow Award and the Fluid Engineering Division Outstanding Lecture Award. We hope that this special feature will raise awareness of the Fluid Engineering Division's activities and contribute to further research exchange and the invigoration of division activities.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the authors for their contributions.

Hyun Jin PARK, Shoichi MATSUDA, Chungpyo HONG
